Why the focus on Shia?  They are clearing EVERYONE out of southern Lebanon, not just Shia - to create a buffer zone to the Litani river.  Their rationale being, Hezbollah has launched thousands of rockets from southern Lebanon and this takes away their range and capabilities.  The Lebanese have known this for decades but have been unwilling / unable to do anything about it.[/quote]

The Lebanese Christians hate Hezbollah but they still  prefer Hezbollah 1,000 times over Israel.
