Does anyone know where IAS will be held in 2026?
Currently it is not being held. The one location fell through and no one has stepped up. If by next month there is no location it will not held this summer.
Where is this reported in minutes or a memo?
Unlike PVS, minutes don’t seem to be available for NVSL. Not sure why there is no more transparency.
Your team rep can update you on what happened. It is not some state secret. The board basically said we need a pool to host. Most pools cannot sell the idea of closing a pool down for two days in summer to membership. Boards and HOAs won't allow it either. If families want this event they should be lobbying their team reps and pool boards to host at your own pool. NVSL will help. There are old threads where it is discussed pools that are able to host effectively and very few pools can run a meet that big. They lack real estate for teams to set up, parking or deck space. Lincolnia Park was an amazing location for ASR. Tons of real estate and parking. IAS is so much bigger and a ton of work with zero incentive for the host. No one wants to do the work.
OKM hosted and it was miserable. The teams were packed on their black top and it was muddy and tight - parking was a mess too (last two year's were great though).
