Lonely people start text-only relationships like this all the time. I have a friend who does it and is always texting some married dude who lives 300 miles away. I would imagine his weird childhood has made Barron an incredibly lonely young man.

It is amazing so many of you are missing the point. Yes, he did a noble thing.
But what the F was he doing in a relationship/friendship with someone overseas who facetimes him (the US President's son) at the same time she is getting assaulted by a Russian.
How many relationships overseas like this does he have?
Where was secret service?
The gaslighting continues.
Calm down. We are very liberal family in Arlington and my kids attended several international schools around the world. They do have friends in London, Dubai and Singapore and they talk to each other at different times. Have you kids ever travel internationally and meet anyone or you just go to cruises?
His own words he has literally never met her, he "met her" ONLINE. Stop gaslighting. This is weird as hell.
It's actually not all that weird.
I'm over 50 and I have online friends I have never met in person.
My young adult children have online friends they've never met in person, mostly from gaming.

He's also an Andrew Tate defender

It probably makes it really hard to meet girls. So he’s online. And apparently met some Russian woman in London? This all seems hugely problematic and is probably why he was instructed not to reply to any of the follow up inquiries from law enforcement. I mean, he was a witness to a crime so of course they tried to interview him. But 50/50 she’s a honey pot I’d think. It is sweet that he tried to get her help though. I feel bad for him on a lot of levels.
No. He's not online meeting girls because it's hard as the president's son to meet them in person. He's online meeting girls because he's a 19 yr old. Full stop. That's how they meet people.
He's a college student at NYU...which is in NYC, one of the most populous cities in America. There are other ways for him to meet girls.
DP. The PP is correct. Sadly, this is how young people meet one another these days. Get with the program.
I have kids the same age. They are not meeting randos online from across the ocean. One is dating someone they met in school and the other one is dating someone they met at their summer job. Normal 19-20 year olds are not having virtual relationships with people miles away that they have basically nothing in common with.
I feel bad for B and think he’s likely neurodivergent and his dad won’t acknowledge it. The way he dresses and wears his hair, which is very dissimilar to other boys his age, is I think another sign of this.

He did waste the time of the British 911 agent by not doing normal stuff like giving his name and how he knew the woman getting beat up, but at least he cared enough to call.
No, have you read the transcript? This was a terrible call protocol, and helps explain why response times are often so poor in the UK. They don't need to know how long he has known the girl, or how he knows her or anything. If someone is in danger, they should try to ascertain the address. Baron kept trying to correctly redirect the dispatcher back to that important fact.

Seriously. How many russians can the trump family be entangled with?

Anonymous wrote:I am not sure why he is getting hate and criticism over this. People just like to be nasty. The woman has said she was being beaten and strangled. He saw a 10-15 second FaceTime that showed a woman he had never even met being harmed and he called police who came and recused her. According to her he saved her life as she wasn’t sure how far her ex boyfriend would go and thought he might kill her.
This wasn’t politics. This was a human caring about another human. Makes me sad to see all the hate and criticism he is getting.

+1. He seems to be a smart and bright kid.
I’ve never heard or read anything that indicates how smart Barron is. How did you reach this conclusion?
