I spent the first half of my life on the west coast (Southern California) and the second half on the east coast (DC and Virginia) and the people in California were happier and nicer than in DC. Then, at least, I can't really speak for the last 20+ years, when I understand it hasn't been as rosy as my childhood was. [/quote]
