yes, lexus has fancier looks vs toyota however the build quality, including engine mechanicals, fit/finish, panels, even small items like hose clamps, etc is far SUPERIOR to the equivalent toyota "sibling".  Think Avalon vs the ES Lexus.  If you can afford the extra $$ to purchase, you are not just paying for skin deep beauty.  I own a local repair ship BTW. [/quote]

Toyotas are more reliable than Lexus. A Lexus also costs more to repair.
