Back when we drove minivans the dealership was always disgusting, the waiting room was dirty and sticky and gross and loud. The luxury dealership waiting room is quiet and clean and has good coffee. It puts you in a better mood.

Because I don't like driving not-small cars. I've been driving cheap Japanese cars all my life, and yes, the road noise, the seat comfort, the cheap plastic, all bother me. Conversely, maintenance on my Toyota Corolla has been a dream. This car will not die and won't take my money. It's 20 years old and I haven't paid much for maintenance over the years.
But what's high-end in the small car category?
VW Golf

What a giant piece of crap lol. The chrome wheel rims were constantly degrading and the tires were always losing air. I spent so much time at Tire Warehouse that I got to know the young guys and once actually cleaned their grimy dusty front desk while waiting using restroom paper towels and soap.

I drive a <$100K BMW. Not a 6 figure BMW I might get as a loaner. I don't think that's where you find the big difference. When I get in my kid's Honda or a rental car, yes, there's a difference that I am not going back to.
NP. I don’t get it. What is the difference that you are not going back to? What is so special about your bmw?
Different poster but ride quality, road noise, infotainment, and material quality would be the big ones for me.

Have bought Audis what a mistake and Tesla both reliability horrible ba k to Lexus
A Lexus is just a Toyota wearing fancier clothing -- so why do you opt for the Lexus over the Toyota?
The price difference between the equivalent Toyota and Lexus for the car we just bought is insubstantial, so we went for luxury. If the margin were bigger, the Toyota would've been fine.
yes, lexus has fancier looks vs toyota however the build quality, including engine mechanicals, fit/finish, panels, even small items like hose clamps, etc is far SUPERIOR to the equivalent toyota "sibling". Think Avalon vs the ES Lexus. If you can afford the extra $$ to purchase, you are not just paying for skin deep beauty. I own a local repair ship BTW.
Toyotas are more reliable than Lexus. A Lexus also costs more to repair.
No thanks. I’m sticking to Toyota.
You do realize that Lexus is Toyota, right?
