Compare a red state and a blue state on the safety of women regarding the most serious assault -  Massachusetts rape rate: For 2023, the rape rate was 27.3 per 100,000 people. [b]This rate of violence against women in Massachusetts is lower than the U.S. national average.[/b]

Texas rape rate: For 2023, the rate was 49.5 per 100,000 people, [b]placing Texas among the highest rates of violence against women in the country.[/b]

I am so sick of the stupidest people in our country buying this bull that Trump sells.   Blue states are safer including their cities.   How much taxpayer money was spent on the dog and pony show that Trump put on in Portland, DC, Chicago?

It brings me no pleasure to point out that all the crime stuff is correlated to the size of the African-American population, not to the party in charge. Furthermore, pro-crime democrat district attorneys and judges obstruct the proper administration of justice in these high crime areas.

+1 Why isn’t Trump sending troops into the violent hellholes of Jackson, Birmingham, and St. Louis?

During the last decade, rural counties had a per-capita murder rate 37% higher than urban counties. It isn’t the cities themselves that cause red state crime. It’s poverty, lax gun laws, chronic underinvestment in schools and mental health care, and decades of Republican punitive justice/mass incarceration policies that don’t work and don’t address the root cause.[/quote]

There are people being carjacked in DC neighborhoods where townhomes cost $1M+. Please show me a comparable rural area that’s that affluent where you have the same murder rate and crime problem in general.

Can you say the same for sex offender stats? Recently moved to a rural area with $1M+ homes only to have a sex offender who had served 20 years for multiple home invasions and rapes in Virginia move in. Less than a year later he was found stalking/following a teenager from the store. So much for rural safety. [/quote]
