The private school obsession of Americans lol. Your child will be okay in public school lol. They can get into a top 10 college don't worry. My twins went to Publix school and they are both at Stanford. Now of course you will agree all private schools are not created equal. That's true, ours wasn't the best. But I was my kids tutor and it worked out for us.
The point of private isn’t to get into Stanford. It’s just a better well rounded experience k-12.
"It’s just a better well rounded experience k-12." LOL...says who?? Wow, the marketing dept of your kids' private school certainly did their job. I have plenty of friends whose kids are at some well-known private schools in the DMV area. There is nothing they experienced during their K-12 years that my kids didn't get at public school except perhaps smaller classroom sizes and hanging out with a bunch of kids of similar socioeconomic backgrounds. And those parents paid dearly for that. Meanwhile my kids had a great experience at K-12 public schools and are killing it in the professional world. One went to Wake Forest and now owns a IT business and the other one went to Navy is no longer in the military and is a real estate developer.
