There are also many poor families out there who can't afford Christmas and those kids don't get presents either - again not because they are bad. Santa is really about materialism and a middle /upper class fantasy.

Any my kids don't believe in Santa and they still get presents so telling your child that kids who don't believe in Santa won't get presents is another lie that will soon be challenged when they find out that yep, actually other kids got presents too.

As someone who didn't grow up with Santa and doesn't do Santa, I don't really get the do or die attitude that some people have. [/quote]
