I just fail to see how this is a good faith, structured argument. There are a million in between solutions that are more organized and managed. For instance, if we are short on farm workers in any given instance we could launch a seasonal labor or some sort of work permit program and let foreign nationals sign up. Why anyone would think massive illegal immigration is a solution to frictions in the labor market is beyond me, and tells me that they really just have an agenda.[/quote]

Actually, that is not what Democrats say. Not sure why you think people writing that are Democrats, unless they are facetiously throwing the standard Republican line back in your face.

Democrats want enforcement with due process, fair wages, human rights. Evidence of that is in the legislation proposed by Democrats in Congress, which Republicans vote against.[/quote]
