Yes, my stylist moved somewhere in Tysons that charges $120, I went once because I love her, but it's too much. Previously she charged $85 and owned her own place, so I didn't even have to tip. Now $120+tip plus tipping the hair washer ends up $150+ and is outrageous[/quote]

I do not tip my sole proprietor because she owns her business - her name is listed as the business owner if you look it up. She rents her own retail space, she owns her own equipment, she buys her own products, she sets her own prices and it is just her from shampoo to blow dry. And she charges a lot for it. So nope, I don't tip. If she wants more money, she can increase the price. I do give her a Christmas present every year though and sometimes I bring her a cup of coffee if I have a morning appointment.[/quote]
