I'm not a MAGA sycophant, but I did vote for Trump.  I am neither evangelical Christian, nor Catholic.  I am Christian.

I think that this should not have been posted by Trump.  I know a lot of Catholics--my guess is this will bother a lot of them, and others, not so much.

I find it in poor taste--but I find a lot of things Trump does in poor taste.  I think a lot of things that Biden did were in poor taste, Clinton, etc.

I don't believe it is sacrilegious.  But, I am not Catholic.

I am from a very Catholic family. I grew up lighting candles at church with my grandmother and my dad goes to weekday morning mass. I have moved away from the church and I am critic of a number of things, but I still strongly identify with my upbringing. I am deeply offended by the White House post of Trump dressed like the Pope. The Pope is closest to God - his representative on Earth. It would be deeply offensive for anyone to “cosplay” the highest leader of the Catholic Church, but a morally corrupt sinner like Trump literally makes me sick. What was the purpose of this post, if not to belittle the Church and the conclave. Really? Explain it to me like I’m five years old. And since Vance isn’t a real Catholic (just a late in life fringe convert for political reasons) it is unsurprising that he didn’t ask for it to be removed or call it out.[/quote]
