Read that last bit. They need qualified lawyers on their team. "Have instructed bus drivers to...impede visibility"? So all those other announcements/calls saying they need to make sure 13,024 bus stops are safe(r) to safely open out of abundance of caution and now putting this on bus drivers.
Pick up your kid early if you're concerned. Next thing you know you'll be saying we need to close because of rain.
How neighborly of you to offer to pick up kid not everyone is as privileged as you
Odd response when the pp wanted school to close early for everyone. No need to screw up things for everyone because a few people are scared of water.
You mean when families asked Grandma to be on standby and was getting ready to leave to pick up. F u
And now grandma has more time on her hands. This is only good news, despite your desperate attempts to try to claim otherwise.
Oh right, so grandma can drive back in the snow. F u again
You can have grandma pick them up whenever you want. Or you can pick your kids up. Or you can have them take the bus. Lots of options.
Privileged poster. Not all get bus service. Do your research before you post.
It's not privilege. It's planning your life with some nod to being a responsible parent.
So parents of students who don't receive bus service are not responsible? As a previous post upthread, fu.
Choosing a school without bus service, and then complaining about pick-up, is not acting as a responsible parent.
Some students don't have a bus, b/c they live close enough to the school to walk. Maybe their parents don't like them walking? Obviously, COSA students wouldn't get a bus. I believe middle and high school "immersion" students don't get a bus. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) provides bus service for: Elementary school students living more than 1 mile of walking distance from school.* Middle school students living more than 1.5 miles of walking distance from school.* High school students living more than 2.0 miles of walking distance from school.* Students who face hazardous walking conditions regardless of distance from school (multilane highways, construction areas, etc.) as determined by the MCPS Department of Transportation. Students in special education services identified as a related service in their IEP. Students in Magnet, Language Immersion, International Baccalaureate, Centers for Enriched Studies, and some vocational/educational programs based on eligibility outlined in the Montgomery County Schools Board of Education Policy EEA, Student Transportation, and Montgomery County Public Schools Regulation EEA-RA, Student Transportation. *A tenth of a mile may be added to establish a reasonable boundary.
