Did we ever find out what really happened with the Amanda Knox murder? Was she really innocent or there? I didn't really follow that whole thing. I know there were a bunch of evidence and forensic issues, but who did it?
I'm pretty sure the drifter guy who was convicted did it, but the Italians went forward with the trials for amanda and her partner because their system is ridiculous.
What do you know about the Italian criminal justice system that makes you think it is ridiculous?
LMAO, seriously? Italy is a joke. No real government, leadership or justice. Mob rule.
Please provide evidence that the prosecution of Amanda Knox was illegitimate. Decrying the Italian system as "ridiculous" without evidence as such is simple question-begging.
Not the PP who said the system was ridiculous, but uh, it is. The prosecutor, Giuliano Mignini, is being investigated for prosecutorial misconduct during her trial and was investigated BEFORE her trial for misconduct. It's really not hard to Google and find this information, and it was widely reported during and after the trial how poorly the Italian justice system was handling things.
Uh oh. By that same standard, our system is ridiculous as hell. We have prosecutors investigated for misconduct all the damn time. I'm not saying Knox did it. I'm not saying that the investigation was beyond reproach. But the immediate dismissal of foreign justice systems because we don't like their actions is the truly ridiculous thing, especially when you have a system as flawed as ours. It is easy to otherize and dismiss those who are different than us. It is far more difficult, and virtuous, to actually take the time to understand.
