Biden is a left of center president. Schumer and Jeffries are left of center democrats. None of the three - the Dmeocratic leadership, are "progressives" There is a lot of room in the democratic tent for people who are pro-choice and don't want crazy running the country. I would argue that Biden is much closer to Reagan than most of the current GOP.
What about a pro life democrat. Is there room for them?
I'm certain some dems are pro-life but just aren't into forcing their values on others like the MAGAs.
That's rich...and ignorant...so you are actually going to tell me that Dems aren't into forcing their values on others? You know...I wasn't going to vote for Trump if a moderate Dem whose values unify the country actually ran...but your comment is why many moderate Dems are not happy....so still not sure I'll vote for Trump...you Dems better nominate someone to unify the country because right now neither side is doing this successfully and if you can't see that you are wearing blinders.
“…whose values unify the country” is a fool’s errand because there are huge factions who have no desire to be unified. Your values are largely reflected in one party, or they aren’t, and if they aren’t you might be a single issue voter. And your bolded comment doesn’t make sense. The idea that there are personally pro-life dems who believe pregnancy decisions should be left up to a woman and her doctor - is the reason moderate Dems aren’t happy? I’m not following that logic. That said I was a moderate until Dobbs. Personally pro-life, but incensed at what’s happening to women in this country. I have a ton of GOP friends who believed Roe was safe in 2020 and they now parrot the “state’s rights” line. I was naive and believed it too. I won’t fall for that again and have read all I need to know about Project 2025.
