Like pretty much all pop shows with a lot of dancing and other performance elements, Eras uses backing tracks fairly extensively especially on the big dance numbers like Shake it Off and Bad Blood. This is just the nature of these shows and not unique to Taylor.

Which is why I don't even view this as Grohl "taking a swipe" at Taylor specifically. Sure he was referencing the Eras tour because it was playing London on the same night. But he was really just talking up what makes a Foo Fighters show special-- it's just a rock band on a stage playing hard for three hours. It's not a big production with a bunch of  elements. It's some guys with instruments and voices making music. Eras is a totally different thing and everyone understands that and Grohl was just talking up what he likes and is proud of with his own show-- it's more raw and free wheeling and stripped down.[/quote]
