Stop with U.S News. It's not credible. The comparison for SAT isn't Woodlawn to TJ, it's Woodlawn to McLean. For starters, Woodlawn isn't a STEM school. It's equally is DESIRABLE as TJ, but it's not a STEM school. And, since you're comparing McLean to Yorktown, the Woodlawn scores matter because they don't factor into the Yorktown scores, even though a significant proportion of Woodlawn kids get their diploma from Yorktown. I know it's hard for you to keep up, but please try. As for the spelling error. I'm absolutely devastated that you gutted my argument by fixating on a single misspelled word in an Internet chat posting. DEVASTATED. You convinced everyone, didn't you?
Got it. Woodlawn isn't a STEM school. It's a DESIR(E)ABLE school! You should stop now. TJ comes out ahead of Woodlawn, and Langley and McLean come out ahead of Yorktown. Add back the scores of the TJ students who live in the Langley and McLean districts to those schools, and the Woodlawn students who live in the Yorktown district back to Yorktown, and TJ, Langley and McLean still come out ahead. And what's the deal with the National Merit Semifinalists? None were reported in the press for Woodlawn. Was Woodlawn overlooked, or did it have no NMSFs, or were they reported in the (lower) numbers for the other Arlington schools? P.S. - I do know this is pointless, but some Arlington people are consistently full of crap, and at least this keeps them from crapping on TC Williams 24/7 like they do in every other thread.
Jesus Christ, how many battles are you waging? You're going to attempt to make a false case for the superiority of McLean schools in honor of TC Williams? The hell? If you like TC so much, move to Alexandria. 22 National Merit semifinalists from Arlington, BTW. Including Woodlawn. Whatever.
