[/quote] Not surprised your child was rejected at Michigan with a 1580. 25% of Michigan's class (really closer to 40% because Michigan is test optional) score below a 1350. So your kid would really be an anomaly there. As such Michigan places little emphasis on the SAT. Your child's score would have been in the top 5% of enrolled students. But it shows you institutional priorities can skew who is admitted. Michigan being a public, state-serving institution isn't the best fit for the classic hardcore high stats kid. [/quote]
