Taller Height for men is like looks for women— think it is just something that is more desirable overall. Most women - obviously not all- prefer a man who is taller- so that’s one aspect. Only have 1 friend whose husband is shorter than her. I have no idea where that comes from- who knows- but I would never date a guy shorter than me- that wouldn’t be something I’m attracted to- maybe ( thinking out loud) I don’t want to be “bigger” than the man. In sports, it can be a an advantage. Some Sports for sure. Most short men would want to be tall- just like most heavy set women would like to be slimmer. In our society that’s just the way it is. No one can reasonably argue against that. My son did take growth hormone oddly enough. Nothing even on our radar and I was very opposed once pointed out by Pediatrician. But he went from 48% height to 11th and stopped growing 6-8th grade. We are both tall (husband and I)—- they did an about 5 tests to determine his GH level/ including two all day hospital stays with hours long testing. It worked and he is now 6”3. But the reasoning from CHOP in Philly was the hormone interplay - not his height. We would never ever consider for height alone.
