My son did take growth hormone oddly enough. Nothing even on our radar and I was very opposed once pointed out by Pediatrician.   But he went from 48% height to 11th and stopped growing 6-8th grade. We are both tall (husband and I)—- they did an about 5 tests to determine his GH level/ including two all day hospital stays with hours long testing.   It worked and he is now 6”3.  But the reasoning from CHOP in Philly was the hormone interplay - not his height.  We would never ever consider for height alone.
