UVA has at least six students at Oxford right now, including two Rhodes Scholars.
And still no Nobel Prize winners.
You are wrong. https://research.virginia.edu/phillip-sharp-2021/nobel-laureate-lecture-series-dr-phillip-sharp-visits-uva And no parent or child looks at Nobels on staff when selecting a school. Do you think Jr is going to be able to do research with Einstein? Parents, do, however, look at how the school does for Rhodes, Watsons, Marshalls, etc.
Try to stay on point. I’m talking about UVA students who have become Nobel Prize winners. UVA has never produced even one in its entire existence. Phillip Sharp, the professor you mentioned, went to Union College and UIUC. Berkeley, UCLA, and Michigan (among other public universities) have had multiple graduates who have won Nobel Prizes. You think they are going to brag about that or how many Rhodes Scholars attended? In the meanwhile, this is a thread about the Times World University rankings where UVA isn’t anywhere near other top public universities from this country. Here’s another shocker; no one is currently doing any research with Einstein. Then again no one ever did any kind of research from a Nobel Prize winning graduate who attended UVA. Perhaps that’s why its world rankings are so dismal.
