One takes bus / metro and watches Netflix or movies and the other two drive and enjoy the time as decompression (which I don’t totally understand because the drive can be stressful, but to each, his own…)[/quote] If you aren’t running late or have flexible start time return home time, it can be relaxing especially with young kids at home. He leaves in morning, and can get to work between 9 and 1030 without much problem (call into any morning meeting if traffic is bad). Leaves work at 5ish, but his wife has the kid pickup, dinner covered, and activities kid shuffling - all he has planned for the evening is his drive home; so if he gets stuck in traffic, just chill till it clears. I did this before kids and it wasn’t bad, and certainly less stressful than BigLaw. [/quote]
