Pulling a fire alarm in a House office building would not delay the vote in the actual House which is in the Capitol.
No amount of repeating this will convince them.
It’s not a matter of convincing anyone when the GOP is deliberately parroting misinformation.
So you really think he’s that stupid that he thinks pulling a fire alarm will open a door? Or that he thinks a vote is important enough to use an emergency exit which is clearly designated as such? Why do you have such low standards for him?
If it wasn't a mistake as he claims, what do you think he was trying to do? Please make sure that your answer requires the high standards you apparently expect of him.
I don’t know but I know if I tried to use an emergency exit in a non emergency and then pulled a fire alarm I would be in serous trouble
By your own admission, you have no idea what he was trying to do but you are sure the he is lying. I am not sure that is particularly sharp analysis.
so you will ignore he used an emergency exit, clearly labelled in a non emergency and pulled the fire alarm? How low will you sink to defend someone merely because they are of your political party?
Nobody has disputed that the door is regularly used by Members of Congress during the week. The sign on the door looks like it is just resting on the crossbar and it is probably removed during the week. Bowman's explanation that in a rush to vote, he got confused and pulled the alarm, expecting it to open the door. A stupid move which even he admits. But, not a nefarious act. Yes, accuse me of defending a member of my own party but also consider your eagerness to present this as something it is not. Couldn't I similarly accuse you of partisanship? Again, you can't even come up with an alternative explanation but expect us to agree with you that he is lying.
No sign on the door in this photo, unless he’s holding it
Forgot link: https://nypost.com/2023/09/30/rep-jamaal-bowman-pulled-fire-alarm-as-shutdown-looms/
