During the week there are Capitol Police there who let Members use that door to go the Capitol for votes. It is never a visitor entrance or exit. It doesn’t have scanners and magnetometers.

Nobody has disputed that the door is regularly used by Members of Congress during the week. The sign on the door looks like it is just resting on the crossbar and it is probably removed during the week. Bowman's explanation that in a rush to vote, he got confused and pulled the alarm, expecting it to open the door. A stupid move which even he admits. But, not a nefarious act.

For what purpose? He and all Democrats but one voted in favor of it. The bill passed by a significant margin.

You don't know that they were in favor of voting for the bill at the time he pulled the alarm. Later they voted, but they were stalling for time before that vote.

They were not “stalling for time”. They just wanted a chance to read what they were voting for unlike mindless MAGAs who will just rubber stamp what they’re told to.
By the way it was the Republicans who made the rules that they needed to have 72 hours to review bills before a vote.
