I make 150k as a single and spend about 160-200 a week on groceries, mostly from Whole Foods. However, I rarely ever eat out. I don't eat extravagantly, no steaks or lobsters, but everything does add up across the week. I've looked at other supermarkets and carefully studied their prices and don't see significant savings and quite often a quality tradeoff. So how does a family of 4 survive on 200 a week for groceries?[/quote]

I have a family of four and this is how much I spend per week on groceries for our entire family, also from Whole Foods. Mostly meat, produce, and bread, and we cook --- on the rare occasion that I buy their prepared foods or a bunch of snacks or something, the total goes WAY up. [/quote]
