I disagree with those who say not to worry. I've already known people who have been denied careers due to the color of their skin. I know one police force that completely stopped hiring white officers so that they could bulk up on minorities. They even talked about purging or early retirement. Why should I not worry about this? History has shown that life as a minority can be unkind.
