The problem here, OP, is there seems to be collective offense taken at something you said or did. We understand you don’t think it was racist or whatever. But there can sometimes be a wide delta between people intend and how they are perceived. I will say this follow-up post of yours, in which you attribute to a therapist a condemnation of the behavior/reaction of “white” people is a bit of a clue to how you might come across. It’s like you lack the self-awareness to consider a therapist’s job is to validate your feelings — but what s/he says to you is not evidence that you are right (or were wronged here).
