I am a fan of Norwood and applied for my child but I am aware of a family that left a few years ago that didn’t have a good experience. The child joined in 4th or 5th grade and had a miserable experience. The child was very normal but didn’t feel welcome by the kids in the class. That family left and had a much better experience at another school. So yes, there are some families that report issues but most I know have had good experiences.
You’re “aware of a family” means you are just repeating third or fourth hand information and had no direct conversation with them about their experience? How is this helpful?
My knowledge is direct from the family. Many conversations with parents about what the kid experienced. Nothing 3rd or 4th hand.
I take it back then. Your wording made it sound like you didn't know the family directly. Sad that the child had a bad experience but glad they are now happy. As some previous posters have mentioned, experiences can vary a lot between different cohorts. It's one of the drawbacks of smaller schools as particular personalities aren't diluted by a bigger cohort and there is less scope for social movement. That's the case in any school of that size and not unique to Norwood.
