The perpetuation of the notion that NCS has a toxic culture on this board is really lazy. I had the same impression/fear too but DD’s experience has not borne this out AT ALL.  Nor did I see any evidence of it during our visits. I did get some sense of girl drama in another school, but not NCS. [/quote]

You were doing great but made the usual blunder with that last sentence. Just couldn’t resist the dig at another school, at other girls. Perpetuating the toxic culture.

That’s why I didn’t name it. And there are mean girl groups in all schools as well as mean boys. Saying there is one isn’t being toxic, it’s just stating the obvious. And I’m sure there are groups at NCS that are toxic as well. What I’m saying is that a generalization of NCS as toxic is a knee jerk reaction. I sensed during research (and have heard about) drama at another school but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it has a toxic culture - how the heck would I know without having a kid there? [/quote]
