If I access music on spotify or itunes, those services keep delivering me more of the same thing e.g if I put in Mumford and Sons, I then get exposed to a long progression of indie folk musicians - streaming services don't suggest hip hop or classical artists to me. Same thing with netflix etc - I don't watch superhero movies or anime, so these never pop up in my suggested lists. I'm not listening to contemporary music on the radio where music selections might be more random (but not necessarily given the number of specialist radio stations).[/quote]
