We have been RMSC swimmers in the past and did not like it one bit. We are now Machine swimmers and beyond thrilled with them. What a warm, supportive, kind team. My kid is thriving and happy. The Laurel location is actually very easy for us (we're in Silver Spring) and U of MD on the weekends is such a fabulous facility. If you can at all swing it, take another look at Machine.
Interesting. We have several swimmers on our team who left Machine after having bad experiences.
I think this is pretty common in swimming, some clubs and coaches are better fits for particular kids than others, so people move around to find a situation that is best for them. People looking to join a club should definitely check out practices for the group their kid is looking to join at each of the clubs they are interested. What works for your kid’s super competitive above-average swimmer friend may not work best for your kid.
