Also, why does it seem so many OOS got in.[/quote] JMU is a great school and the first choice of many applicants, but it's long been a safety for high performing in-state students whose first choice is UVA, etc. and for whom OOS isn't a viable option for financial or other reasons. My kid was accepted at W&M, but would've happily attended JMU. And yes, merit aid at some OOS schools could make the cost similar to that of JMU, but the OOS schools in that "tier" are, generally, not regarded as any better than JMU. [/quote]
