Oh sweetheart, the drugs may help you get the weight off, but at some point you're going to have to address the underlying issues that caused you to get obese in the first place. Those aren't going to go away just because you lost some lbs with drugs.

NP. They will never answer this accurately. DCUMs disordered eaters are incandescent with rage that these drugs exist and work very well for some obese people. It has triggered their deep psychological issues around weight, and they will never, ever be able to accept that obesity can be managed as a chronic medical condition the way that people manage high blood pressure, acne, infertility, depression, etc. To admit that would force them to confront their own serious mental health disorders. They will never do that. [/quote]
