My friend to me. Apparently Musk's quick pivot to the right (endorsing DeSantis), sexually harassing a flight attendant on his private jet, being investigated for killing thousands of animals for Neuralink research, and the known issues at the Tesla plant in Fremont (a noose hanging, reports of other hostile work environment conditions) make driving a Tesla about the worst thing you can do in DC. Lot's of other electric vehicles to choose from if that's your thing.
Musk is an idiot. And I hate Teslas and all EVs. Having said that we all have to get over this notion of only buying things that completely conform to our political views. That should not enter into the picture at all.
What? I have every right not to support a company that I disagree with their political views I will never shop at Hobby Lobby or Home Depot or Publix. MY RIGHT as a consumer. You have the same right to not shop at Lowes....
And what I am saying is that you should shop there. We need to stop picking sides. Someone's political views cannot be the decider. The product has to be. Republicans and Democrats are about an inch apart. We like to think its miles but it is not. Why would you not shop at Home Depot? The others I get.
Not PP but “members who voted against certifying Biden’s win received a whopping $22m post-January 6 from the PACs of 700 corporations. Besides Koch’s PAC, the other top corporate PACs were those of Home Depot and Boeing that respectively ponied up $593,000 to 44 members and $520,000 to 27 members.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/sep/23/koch-bankrolls-election-denier-candidates?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other This is capitalism. Lowes and Home Depot are not that different and offer many of the same products. Political affiliation is one thing that differentiates them. It would be difficult for me to boycott Boeing but boycotting Home Depot is easy, I just need to drive a little further from my house.
