They are the future. Just 20-40 years away from being helpful or really any good. For example -- I think it likely that all of the EVs sold today and in the next 5-10 years will be obsolete right after that. The key is going to be small batteries that are swapped at service like stations not what is in cars today.

EVs are plenty good right now. They may not have swappable batteries yet, but most can go 200 or 250 miles on a charge. Meanwhile the climate continues to warm and we need to drive something while we wait for this utopia 20-40 years off.

This argument is becoming obsolete. Around 60% of power generated in California is not from fossil fuels, and that portion is increasing rapidly every year.

This is capitalism. Lowes and Home Depot are not that different and offer many of the same products. Political affiliation is one thing that differentiates them. It would be difficult for me to boycott Boeing but boycotting Home Depot is easy, I just need to drive a little further from my house.
