Sadly it happens I had one friend in eighth grade his stepfather abused her. She told her mother. I got the feeling that her mother believed her. However, she told her daughter that she couldn’t financially afford to leave the stepfather. So the girl had to keep living with her stepfather who was or had been abusing her.
