No, he lives in Falls Church. Fox 5 has video of the incident and, at least in what we see here, it doesn't look like he put his hands around the guy's throat. Just pushed him a little.

Possibly, but the original tweet says he "allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat". I don't see that happening in the video. I am not arguing that the guy shouldn't be charged, just that the reports of what happened should be accurate.

All I am saying is that the video does not show the victim being grabbed by the throat. I am not sure why you are making an issue of this. Just watch the video for yourself. If you watch and think that it shows the deputy mayor grabbing the victim by the throat, come back an say so. Otherwise, you are just wasting time.

He apparently was charged with assault. Prosecution seems unlikely. But he’s a 53 year old public official with anger management issues acting the fool by putting hands on someone's. He needs to find other employment. [/quote]

It’s a simple assault with no apparent injury. Prosecutors aren’t going to seek jail time. Most likely probation, if anything. [/quote]
This looks like a case where a nolo contendere plea + anger management classes = record cleared in 6 months[/quote]
