My kid is in therapy.  Choosing to take a break from someone who has traumatized you, and using healthy things like physical exercise to manage stress are coping skills.

Sounds like mom encourages this behavior to ruin the relationship.  She does nothing to help and only sabotage. A kid leaving home without permission should get consequences.  .  [/quote]
