Any recommendations for where in west va to visit and explore for a few day? I am intrigued and want to check out the state. No plans on moving there but a second house would be lovely. Although it would be another 10 years or so before we could afford it
PP living in WV. I recommend the eastern panhandle (towns already mentioned here like Shephardstown, Harper’s Ferry etc) or around Thomas & Davis/Canaan Valley.
Hardy County (Lost River area) is also nice for second homes and about an hour closer to DC vs. Canaan. Still easy to pop up to the higher elevation in Canaan Valley for a day of skiing or cooler weather in the summer but slightly less of a schlep for regular weekends.
