It’s not because masks have been removed. It’s because 
- people are traveling
- people are going back to work
- large conferences are happening
- proms, dances and auctions 
- other large events.

Oh please. People were out and doing things, as well as traveling (even when they maybe should not have been), kids were playing sports (like mine). All in masks and transmission was low when they did this. We had not a single COVID case on my child's travel team for the entirety of Covid - UNTIL masks went away.
