We had our kids in our late 20s early 30s and were renting with our first and definitely didn’t have a full year of living expenses saved. We did have stable jobs and were ready for kids, though. Bought our first home after the birth of our first and have been growing our careers and savings while raising them. I think it just takes different things for different people to feel ready. I’m 34 now and our youngest is two. We are still not rich but can comfortably provide for our kids to enjoy their childhood. [/quote]
