Not me! We had our kids in our late 20s early 30s and were renting with our first and definitely didn’t have a full year of living expenses saved. We did have stable jobs and were ready for kids, though. Bought our first home after the birth of our first and have been growing our careers and savings while raising them.

I think it just takes different things for different people to feel ready. I’m 34 now and our youngest is two. We are still not rich but can comfortably provide for our kids to enjoy their childhood.

Had my kids at 41 and 44.

I did not even like kids til I was 40.

40 is pretty normal if on the older side of normal

I had 3 kids by 31 and people treated me like a teen mom. I always felt younger than most moms at play dates etc., especially with my first.

34 is oldish for many Americans but not old in UMC circles in big coastal cities. I’d say it’s in the range of average around here.
