DP.  Whether he's a centrist or "solidly to the right" does not concern me at all.  The PP is correct.  He will appoint people with common sense to the VDOE - something that has been sorely lacking for some time.  All the money and time that has been wasted on an [b]"equity lens" and "anti-bias" [/b]needs to be funneled into academics.  Normal, rational people of ALL political stripes - sorry, "stakeholders - have had it with the far-left's crazy policies.[/quote]

The current system seems to be working just fine for me and others in my non-white community.  Though we do tend to spend a fair amount of time after school/weekend school due to FCPS's low expectations and lack of elementary school homework.

As for an "authoritarian", I think Youngkin just said he's going to let localities handle COVID policy, which seems to be the opposite of authoritarian. [/quote]

Good post. I agree that schools are way too easy these days, starting at the early ages. No child left behind means all children learn less on average. The “dumbing to the average” syndrome. Sigh. [/quote]
