[/quote] Most schools publish their “average” merit award — if they do merit at all — but there are so many variables that go into an individual award, it’s virtually impossible to predict. Are your kid’s stats way above their average admit? Then the chances are better. Just to reiterate — merit aid has nothing to do with the ability to back out of ED. The unavailability of [u]need based[/u] aid is the only thing that gives you an out. [/quote]
