Looking at outplacement is also not a fair apples to apples comparison either. For example, one school might have 3 girls admitted to NCS and 2 boys to St. Alban's in a given year. so in that year, outplacement looks strong. What we don't know is that 2 of those 5 students are a set of twins with a mother and grandmother who attended NCS and are major donors, and 2 have siblings there now. So only one 1 of the 5 students was admitted "unhooked".

Families should not select a k-8 if their end goal is a very specific place. Those families really need to focus on entering that K-12 school at the earliest entry point. Choose a K-8 that seems like a place where your child's specific qualities will be nurtured and developed so that your child is in the setting that will bring the best out of your child. That may be a different school than the best one for my kid. It doesn't mean my kid's school is somehow better than your kid's school.

I group the schools this way, not a ranking. Grouped bc of similarities in student/families profiles and desired outcomes:

St. Pat's-NPS-WES

Lowell-Sheridan

Langley-Norwood-WES(bc location)
