This is disingenuous because you and I both know for families who travel overseas to see family they often go during the school year sometimes for a month or so at a time. Particularly my students who are from Asian countries. That is expensive travel and they make a whole thing of it. You don’t need summer break exclusively when many families will travel to Asia for 4-5 weeks during school as it is. I have one student there now in fact. [/quote]

Disingenuous you say and then write about people taking off a whole summer??? What world do you live in.

It ain’t the same for an Asian kid with a rich azz parent who can still work online than a teacher. A teacher can’t take a whole month off. One for job reasons. Two because were poor and can’t afford to skip two paychecks and pay bills. On top of the expenditures incurred from that supposed travel.
