Is a slob and seems to spread disorganization wherever he goes -- possibly due to ADHD which he doesn't care to address. Has anxiety issues which make him very self-centered -- everything is about his problems, his issues.
Hey, PP-- If you see this... I have ADHD and a lot of my anxiety is actually the emotional dysregulation that comes with ADHD. Although yoga/meditation/exercise helps, I found that no anti-anxiety medication worked for me (short of something like Xanax). But when I upped my Vyvanse (for ADHD) prescription, it helped SO MUCH. Basically w/ADHD I'm overwhelmed by emotions and sensory input and can't prioritize it all-- obviously this is also true of tasks, which is the executive dysfunction part. I HATED how, no matter what I tried, I sometimes could not help but overwhelm my family with my anxiety and obsessing about my problems, melting down under pressure, etc. Not all the time, but enough. I didn't/don't want to be like this! The increase in meds-- to just the usual starting dose, actually-- helped SO SO MUCH. Anyway. I'd bet good money that you're right-- your DH has ADHD and needs treatment.
