I started getting serious about cleaning up my lifestyle on 6/22. I marked it in my calendar to hold myself accountable. As of today I am down about 13 lbs. I did with very little exercise (I will incorporate it eventually) and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables for every meal. I allow myself a take out meal (not fast food though) every 2 weeks or so. It can be whatever I want. For examples one night I ordered ribs, another night wings, and recently pizza. I used a yeast buster formula to eliminate candida and reduce sugar cravings then stopped drinking most sweetened drinks (including sugar subs.) Water, sparkling water, tea, and coffee are the what I mostly drink. I eliminated as many refined carbs as possible from my daily diet. I also avoid most dairy but do use real butter and eggs. I also do indulge in meat but not for every meal and some days not at all. My diet is more plant based. I am trying not to say I can't eat something unless it creates an allergic reaction. So I won't label myself as vegetarian, vegan, or pescaterian. It is a lifestyle change and I like it! I also try to eat whatever is season so my taste buds don't get bored and I look for creative ways to cook veggies. Sometimes it is using a different spice, a different rice, coucous instead of rice, etc. I like to watch Tabitha Brown because she gives me ideas for how I can play around with my food and make it into something new. I did stop drinking for a while but I slowly reintroduced it by incorporated low carb alcohol only mixing it with sparkling water. If I crave a sweet wine or something with a lot of sugar will cut it with sparkling water and ice. It seems to be working for me.
