I lost about 15 pounds prior to the pandemic but have since gained back about 7. I really want to lose the weight, it’s made me a hermit, I don’t want to see people or my family because of it.

I’m running 5X a week.
And eating 1400 calories
Taking about 10,000 steps (especially if I’m not running)

Great job! What’s your next mini goal after losing these 10 pounds?

Weigh in this morning was 218.8.
Targeting 160 lbs by the end of the year.
Long long way to go.
Checking in after a little bit. Weigh in yesterday was 205.8, down 21.4 lbs in 50 days.
Great job! I am a teeny bit further along in my journey, but with similar beginning stats and the same fairly rapid weight loss. I was thrilled to get below 200, but spent a LONG time in the 190s and it was very disappointing after seeing the scale regularly go down. Don’t get discouraged if your weight loss slows a bit, despite your best efforts. You will still continue to lose. When the scale fluctuated up or I would plateau, I just keep telling myself, “ Eating well and exercising is not going to make you gain weight, be patient.”

My advice would be: small, slow, sustainable changes that are approachable and where you won't get burnt out. No diets. Lots of whole fruit and vegetables. Limit eating out to 1 meal a week. And exercise at least every other day.
Good luck all, and congrats on making positive changes. Remember that nobody is perfect, either before, during, or even after weightloss![/quote
I agree with this approach ( np) I've lost 40 pounds so far. I would add that you should write down what you eat ( you can use Myfitnesspal and be accurate. Get at least 150 minutes of exercises per week. Do a t least three different types of exercises for strength, flexibility and aerobic. don't eat back those "lost" calories. You need to eat 500 calories a day to lose one pound in a week. Follow this philosophy: Eat REAL food, mostly veggies, not too much.
You can do it!
