Dear Rose Hill residents, I’m going to ask one more time. Are you hoping that MCPS/Rockville abandons the JWMS turf field and return the $2.4M back to MSI? Seriously, I’m truly asking so I can understand and maybe support your position cause I’m concerned what budget item MCPS will have to cut in order to pay back $2.4M. I heard that a few posters claim that the estimated $40K annual turf maintenance cost will come out of teachers’ salary. If this is true, then what will happen if MCPS needs $2.4M? You were also extremely quiet when I asked about the lighting system test last week too. Please answer the question above.
Why is MCPS paying back anything? Making up stuff is apparently your specialty. Just like you think artificial turf is safe and silica sand can be inhalled without injury. Did you sign up to speak at the City of Rockville hearing? You can call Rockville residents all the names you want in person. No need to hide in your mom's basement! You can come out and confront the citizens in person and spew your hatred for facts and truth. See you then!
What don’t you understand? As part of the settlement, MSI paid $2.4M to MCPS to build the JWMS turf field for exclusive use for 10 years. If MSI can’t use it cause of people like you, MCPS is in breach of contract. MCPS will have to pay back $2.4M to MSI. I surely hope you’re not breeding.
Allow me to add to this: MSI sued MCPS due to MCPS giving Bethesda Soccer Club and Potomac Soccer Club preferentially treatment by giving them priority use of turf fields. MCPS proposed a settlement if MSI retracts their lawsuit. The MCPS/MSI settlement is for building turf fields at Whitman HS, Einstein HS and Julius West MS that MSI will pay for the construction costs for exclusive use of these fields. MSI has been using Whitman and Einstein HS turf fields. MSI wrote a $5.2M check for turf fields with lights at these 3 schools. The reason that JWMS turf field cost is $2.4M is because it will have 2 turf fields whereas Whitman and Einstein only have 1 turf field each. Hence, if Rockville/MCPS will not allow MSI to use JWMS fields, MCPS is in breach of contract! MSI will not only sue for breach of contract, but might open up the old lawsuit.
