I’m going to ask one more time.
Are you hoping that MCPS/Rockville abandons the JWMS turf field and return the $2.4M back to MSI? Seriously, I’m truly asking so I can understand and maybe support your position cause I’m concerned what budget item MCPS will have to cut in order to pay back $2.4M. I heard that a few posters claim that the estimated $40K annual turf maintenance cost will come out of teachers’ salary. If this is true, then what will happen if MCPS needs $2.4M?
You were also extremely quiet when I asked about the lighting system test last week too.
Please answer the question above.
Why is MCPS paying back anything? Making up stuff is apparently your specialty. Just like you think artificial turf is safe and silica sand can be inhalled without injury.
Did you sign up to speak at the City of Rockville hearing? You can call Rockville residents all the names you want in person. No need to hide in your mom's basement! You can come out and confront the citizens in person and spew your hatred for facts and truth. See you then!
What don’t you understand? As part of the settlement, MSI paid $2.4M to MCPS to build the JWMS turf field for exclusive use for 10 years. If MSI can’t use it cause of people like you, MCPS is in breach of contract. MCPS will have to pay back $2.4M to MSI.
I surely hope you’re not breeding.

+100. If anyone can’t understand this simple fact, you are dumb as a doorknob.

Wow. This showed how dumb and crazy the folks at Rose Hill are. They not only tried to stop the construction of Julius West but also tried to stop Einstein turf field as well. I’m truly surprised by the Rose Hill people’s lack of understanding of how local governments work, lack of common sense and preparation of the legal challenge of MCPS. They had a lawyer too.
MSI Soccer is certainly showing what hateful people they are. You would think when they have been piling up millions of dollars from their players and probably have millions more hidden away that they would be a little more adult in their online trolling. Is soccer really such a hateful game that this is the mentality of the adults that run these leagues?
I’m not part of MSI nor have any kids playing soccer for MSI, BSC or any clubs. I am a 40 year residence of Rockville and have attended grade school to HS in Rockville. My hate is not Rockville or MCPS. I actually love it here otherwise I would have moved already. My hate is towards the selfish folks at Rose Hill.
Rockville is no longer an isolated suburban city. Rockville residences have to recognize and accept that we are ever growing city. The city and its citizens are getting more prosperous every year. The city has to develop to grow. A turf field is part of that development.
There are no proven scientific/medical proof or evidence that turf fields cause cancer. Claiming cause cancer is similar to the crazy Hollywood folks that claim vaccinations causes mental disabilities.
Artificial turf has nothing to do with the development of a city.
Silica sand is a known carcinogen. You really need to up your knowledge. Where do you live that you don't have access to the Internet? Try a public library and do some research.
Crystalline silica has been classified as a human lung carcinogen. Additionally, breathing crystalline silica dust can cause silicosis, which in severe cases can be disabling, or even fatal. The children using these fields will be inhaling silica sand.

It depends on the size and shape of the particles. If the silica is mined from hard rock yes it can cause problems. If it is nature sand deposited from water or wind, its not a problem. Too bad they do not use silica any more but keep on keeping on!
They? Who is they? Anyone can buy it at Home Depot. MCPS is not regulating the source of the sand being used on these fields. Read the RFP. Any sand will do.
Congratulations to the pulmonary doctors.
The more you post the more it shows you do not know what you are talking about.
Did you read the RFP? Of course not. You don't read. You are just a nasty MSI troll. Children can die from heat stroke and you won't care.

Instead of arguing about the safeness of turf field, etc., please answer the PP’s question above.
I am curious what solution(s) the folks at Rose Hill proposes.
